For a young person with high care needs, the loss of choice and independence is one of the hardest things to deal with. Over 7,000 young Australians living in aged care are faced with this problem every day.

This Christmas, you can give the gift of choice back to these young Aussies, by sending your friends, family, clients or staff a Youngcare Youngcake – a Christmas cake for young people, by young people.

Over the past 10 years, Youngcare has raised funds through donations to build housing options and provide grants for young people who would otherwise be living in aged care, but this year we’re doing things a little differently – by making a Christmas cake.

In packs designed to share, these delicious blonde Christmas cakes are brimming with festive fruit and nuts. Celebrity Chef Ben O’Donoghue has baked Youngcare resident Bronwyn’s Dad’s recipe with her and it’s been lovingly made by Vanilla Pod bakery, with the pack designed by award-winning artist Michael Zavros.
